Spoilers Ironheart spoilers

Watched it despite feeling dread after 5 years of frankly Disney+ guff

I really liked! The main character is very likeable which always helps me. Most of the squad are also interesting to watch.

Questions:
1. Did they just abandon the heist in ep1.
2. I assume Rampage has been killed or will return as a villain in ep6.
3. What was RiRi researching that was a struggle ( despite making an iron suit quite successfully!).
Ta
1. Seems that they succeeded and that resulted in an ongoing payday, from what Hood was saying.
EDIT - Sorry, I guess I'm thinking about Ep2. Ep1 was pre-Riri joining, wasn't it?
2. As far as I know, as of Ep3, he's dead.
3. Riri didn't really have any trouble with the suit hardware. It was the creation of an AI to oversee its operation that she was struggling with.

Yes, it appears so.
2. I assume Rampage has been killed or will return as a villain in ep6.
I wasn't sure which way to take it when Riri couldn't get in touch with him about the parts.
3. What was RiRi researching that was a struggle ( despite making an iron suit quite successfully!).
How to get a new AI to work. That's a software issue, and it seems to be the place where she struggles. In the suit, she was originally using the school's AI and trying to develop her own. She said that's where most of the grant money went when she was making her case to get more time on her grant.

Interesting that what Stane did in his fights with Stark was all covered up and the general public had no idea he was a villain. And being Stane's son, I wonder what kind of MCU future Joe will have.

Also, The Hood was in season 3 of What If? I know there is a lot of speculation on it, but I think this version is more likely the MCU version, than the comic book version.

I thought the first three episodes were good. I mean, they weren't bad.

Look, after Secret Invasion, I have really really low expectations. I am enjoying the series for what it is. Seriously, here's the list of new (sorry, Loki S2) not-animated (sorry, What If?) MCU Series in "Phase 5" in order:

Secret Invasion: No. Just no.
Echo: I wanted to love this (RESERVATION DOGS!). I wanted to love this (Vincent!). But ... it wasn't that good.
Agatha All Along: Fine.
Daredevil: Born Again: If it was season 4 of the Netflix series, it would be behind seasons 1 and 3, but before 2.
Ironheart: First three episodes have been good. Let's see where it goes.

In short ... it's perfectly okay so far. Enjoyable, but certainly not compelling (to me). No where as bad as the worst shows, and lots of good parts, but ...

I just feel like all the series are missing something because they are all "movie-adjacent mini-series" and not, you know, actual TV shows. Maybe that's something to dwell on further, but if you know what I mean, you know what I mean. They don't have enough character work or depth like a TV show, and they don't have enough momentum and closure like a movie.

That said, I am looking forward to the next three. I like the MCU shows, but I never feel like they amount to anything much. And I always know that the ones I do like won't be continued and the characters that I get to know I won't really spend time with ... other than a cameo in a movie or a different series down the road.

I personally think there's a lot of rose tint in many remembrances of the other seasons of Daredevil. They had some episodes to slog through in the middle of the seasons. In Born Again, there was one pretty questionable episode (the bank heist). The others were better IMO, putting my rating 3, 4, 1, 2 (2 might actually be higher because of punisher to me, but looking at it holistically, it is what it is).

Agatha All Along was near top tier for me.

Echo - yeah, I wanted to like it. I love the character in the comics. But this story and the unnecessary change to her powers (which also makes some of the other aspects not hit as hard) and the way they used Kingpin makes it not as good as it could have been.

Secret Wars died on the concept table. Some performances tried to save it. And if it was better, sacrificing HIll on the altar of Secret Wars could have been forgiven. But it was just... no.

I also lump Moon Knight and Ms. Marvel in there, and those were definitely good, with Moon Knight approaching top tier.
