The Outrage hits home...
Uda Hiyone returns to his tent and tosses his cask of sake on a pillow as he takes a seat to enjoy the afternoon, only to have a message waiting for him from his brethren of the Hare clan...
"What is this," he shouts to noone in particular, "The Scorpion dare, break the peace, based on pitiless liesand deciepts, and they say this is justice... for a Greater Clan to destroy a minor clan on a whim?"
Hiyone's mentor and confidant, Ayame, shook her head in confusion...
She spoke delicate words, "You must not lose focus, Uda-sama, allow your kin to handle this in your absence, I can see the fire in your eyes, and in your heart."
Hiyone cast the missive aside, "They treat us no better then dogs... they laugh at our honor and chitter in their courts of their greatness. Do they not recall the role we played in support of the Jade Throne. Toku-sama himself is a living hero, and yet we are still spit upon as if we are beneath notice."
Ayame smiled, a practice emotion, "You will bring greatness to our Clan, and you will start that here, stay the course Uda-sama. Deal with this test first, the Scorpion will pay for their insult. I assure you Uda-sama."
Hiyone took a sip of his sake and relaxed...
"I shall win this Test... my honor demands it."

Togashi Samanosuke calls all the other contestants to have conferance before the tournament.
"I ask you all, would you have any qualms if I were to bring the matters at hand to your attention?"
Assuming no person speaks against this,
"The scorpion and the burning sands are on the offensive during this tournament, and I don't think it is appropriate that we try and hold a contest when the world is trying to turn us upside down. Would you care if I were to request a delay of a few weeks before we continue this tournament?"
(If everyone wants to continue the tournament while everything is going on, I'll get William Ronald to post judgements as soon as you post your combat posts, and we will assume the first day of the tournament has started.)
(If some players do not want to continue, I will allow us a temporary reprieve from the tournament to deal with the new situations.)

"If the events can be resolved quickly enough, we should not delay the contest. The stability of the Empire might depend on it. We are still waiting on the answer of some of the clans to see if we have the consent to judge the actions of the Scorpion clan, and we will send aid to deal with the gaijin assault."

"I say that we continue with the contest, the sooner the Emerald Champion is established the sooner unified actions can be taken against these occurances."

Utaku Xieng Chi steps forward. "Very strange things are happening throughout the Empire. It feels like the very Celestial Order is being threatened. If we are to prevent Rokugan to fall into chaos, we must remain true to our purpose. When a new Champion will don the Emerald Armor, nobody will question his justice, and he will gather the forces that are faithful to the Empire against the enemies. Our duty is to allow such a champion to be chosen soon, for he is most needed."

"Xien Chi-San, I share your concerns, but it seems that the chaos within the Empire is also reflected in the Tests. Let us hope that these issues will be resolved soon."

William Ronald stated that he will be able to judge. Everyone who is aware, please post your information for him in an introductory fashion so that we can best ease him into that. He will be here shortly I hope. Sanctus Togashi will post after his opponent this round.
