It is perfectly okay to get mad at stuff.... about... stuff. I get mad at stuff all the time. For instance, today I was mad at the rain for... you know... falling on me. Tomorrow I will likely be mad at the sun for shining in my eyes. Later on today, I'm going to be mad at my butt for making horrible sounds and smells.

What is not okay is breaking the rules of posting, insulting people, accusing them of crimes against humanity, calling them traitors, and so on.

For instance, saying, "I'm angry!" is okay, and possibly even healthy. Saying "Wizards ate my baby!" on the other hand, is not okay, and probably not healthy.

On another note... Intending to derail threads and stating your intention to derail threads about a specific topic is also probably not an advisable behavior on a message board, or any other communication medium... where the purpose is... you know... communication.

Remember what robot devil says, "You can't have your character just state how they feel! That makes me angry!"

I hope so. I was pretty upset last week. Feeling more resigned right now. WotC can do what they want with their things. If what they've done and how they're doing it is supposed to make me happy, they went about it the wrong way, I'm afriad.

Oh Hell yes.

My personal order of importance ... most angry to least angry

-for avoiding and ignoring your customers and their concerns
-for making plans to force me to use DI if I want WotC support in the future
-for canceling Dungeon & Dragon with Paizo
-for canceling Dragonlance with MW
-for canceling the liscence with CMP

Now I admit that #2 is only based on the slimmest of information, which is the only information WotC is willing to share.

Yes, but bury that emotion deep inside until one day it overflows at an inappropriate moment. That's how we kick it old school feelings-wise, my friend.

Some people are getting tired of seeing tons of threads about this topic?

I get tired of seeing tons of threads about what's wrong with this or that in D&D 3.5, or what 4th Ed will be like.

It's all perspective. For me, the last week or so has been the most interesting week I've ever experienced on ENworld.

I think we should all respect that everyone has something to say and if we don't like the subject to just move on without comment rather than making noise that we're tired of seeing this topic or that topic..

I have avoided all threads on this subject, because only now can I overcome my irritation to post. Not that you care about my opinion, but I suppose I should hold forth somewhere.

Anyone who got angry about the cancellation of the magazines needs to grow a pair. The vitriol is stupid and misplaced. You sound like children being denied seconds on dessert. No one has been deceived or betrayed. (I understand that current subscribers get some kind of consolation prize or whatever; haven't bothered to follow that up) And Paizo is the winner here, because I had never even heard of them before they got the magazines, and now they are being painted as the poor victim...with tons of press, brand recognition, website traffic, etc.

And yeah, I have Dragon mags back to the double digits, so it's not like I don't care. It's just that...I don't care. I have a slight nostalgia for Dungeon (got those back to the single digits), but I am not worried that that amateur adventures will go away. This move will strengthen the "third-party" adventure publishers, which is a Good Thing.

If anything, this move will foment interest in the Digital Initiative. And give all those people with BitTorrents of all the magazine PDFs something else to leech. Oh no! I went there!

Being mad at WotC? Completely okay. You've got the right to have your opinion.
Behaving mad? Not really. While you can have a strong opinion, you still have reason.

:)

No.

"Anger, fear, aggression - the dark side are they."

What are you angry about? Losing a magazine?

Please. That's like being angry at Marvel Comics for killing Captain America.

Save your emotional energy for something REAL.
