Is it possible for a Vampire and a Half Celestial to coexist?

Like the subject says, Can a Human Vampire 1/1 fighter/Sorcerer and a Half human half Celestial lvl 2 Cleric coexist in the same party?

I'm about to start a game with 2 players, and that is what they are. I'm just wondering if it'll be possible for them to actually accomplish anything other than killing each other.

What do you think?

Vampire is male and CE or CN cant remember which

Half Celestial is Female, and of a good align.

I dont remember any of the stats tho, I dont have there character sheets here.

It can work (see Buffy) but more then likely won't. Even Buffy wanted to eventually kill Angel when he was evil, same with Spike.

Ehhh, if this guy is CN then trust me, passion is in the stars. I see lots of angry arguing, USTing, and angst. True a CN vampire ain't exactly canon, but you're the DM. Besides, there should always be at least one exception to the rules...
