Pathfinder 2E Is It Time for PF2 "Essentials"?

If only there were some way to keep the information fresh in ones head and right in front of them... some tool...perhaps a card one could take notes on...
The first question should be: is a game requiring cards or online tools well designed? Is it attractive compared to the competition?

(When the game in question is a table-top role-playing game, that is)

Just throwing it out there...

The answer is, well it depends if that’s what you are vibing as a game.
The first Question should be: is that the game for me?
The second question is “does this mean it’s actually poorly designed, or just not aligned with my tastes?”

just throwing it out there...

This is absurd.

I am basing my observations on extensive play testing of both 5E and PF2.

Not that it should matter, since that PF2 is decisively more complex and detailed-filled is obvious as soon as you leave the very lowest levels.

Complexity and detail are not the same thing as clutter, however. The latter word makes the assumption that the detail and complexity serves no good purpose.

Do you not already have to do the same for 5e characters? I do.

You can certainly have D&D variants that are intrinsically compact to keep track of (at least for non-spellcasters). The ones I'm familiar with are all OSR products. Once you get where there's any significant variation from character to character, its going to require some kind of reference sheet, simply by consequence of the fact that all these games are firmly in the exception-based design world.

Seriously, I have no idea how many times we must retread this whole thing.
