Is this a gamebreaker?

Is that from spending 500XP to store your XP total, blowing 10k XP on crafting or Wish spells or Permanencies, then restoring your total?

Or has it been ruled that Thought Bottle can only restore you if you actually lose a level? (Which wouldn't actually stop you... given a supply of 5000gp diamonds, you could kill yourself, have your Cleric cohort Raise you, lose a level, spend some more XP, then Restore with the bottle...)

I've seen a reference to 'Thought Bottle abuse', but I'm not sure what people have come up with...

A sidetrack, sorry, but I believe "The Word" abuses the Thought-Bottle (amongst other things, on the CharOpt boards)

I had a fighter/mage who did that in one combat. It was a TPK--not because it was inherently too challenging though it was challenging. It was a TPK because the fighter/mage spent the first three rounds of combat not contributing.

I actually play in a party somehow like this. It's 5 PCs, two of which we've dubbed the useless duo *.

Dwarf Paladin/Hammer of Moradin
Tiefling Ranger/Rogue archer.
Aasimar Sun God Cleric/ RSoP

And somehow, the useles duo are running with two of the most powerful classes in the Game and still are uneffective:

Human Cleric (strength/War)
wood elf Druid

Every combat ends up working the following way:

The dwarf pally (me) wades up in front of whatever comes at us and tanks up (Divine shield, shield of Faith, Divine Vigor for the temp hitpoints, Fighting defensively). Fortunatealy, this pally is b"blessed and lands about one desisive critical per encounter. Nothing says bye-bye like a 3x critical from a Hammer of Moradin :D

The tiefling ranger uses the dwarf as half cover and attacks whatever it is that is damaging us.

The aasimar cleric keeps the dwarf alive and buffs him up as well (endurance, magic vestment, bull's strength, etc..) while also casting unbuffing spells at enemies.

Meanwhile, the useless duo are buffing up to all hell. When the machines of ultimate doom TM, are ready to wade in, the fight is all but over.

Yeah, I tracked it down. The Word looked like an interesting exercise. The Wish looked... wrong. I'm not entirely certain how he expected to use a Wish spell to create a Ring of Infinite Wishes...?

... oh, wait, I see. Yeah, that works.

I disagree that you can have a scroll of a Divine-Quickened spell, though. You can have a scroll of a metamagicked spell, but Divine Metamagic isn't a Metamagic feat...
