Is this DMPC okay?

I'm running a Pathfinder campaign and know that a lot of you guys don't really like DMPCs, but I've thought about this one and thought that she was okay. Still, I want your opinions.
-Level 18 (in a special homebrew class with the spell progression of a sorcerer but with more kinds of spells available and more hit points and the ability to dual-wield katanas) and mythic tier 9 in a party of 10th level Fighter, Rogue, Paladin and Monk
-She is brash and impulsive, with a habit of charming, killing or polymorphing anyone who gets on her nerves. However, she is still praised by almost everyone she meets
-Ability scores 12, 15, 17, 16, 15, 32 (due to being known as the most beautiful in the world)
-Secretly the daughter of the campaign world's god of magic, and the only one capable of defeating the main villain (the other half is a special kind of vampire that doesn't have its normal weaknesses)
-I'm willing to fudge die rolls once in a while, since if she dies it will seriously wreck the campaign
-The party will meet her when she saves them from a group of monsters that they cannot defeat themselves
Also, I haven't though of a name for her yet, any ideas?

Unless you have only one player, DMPCs are alnost never OK.

Resist the urge to want to both play and referee, since it's very, very difficult to do so without hogging the spotlight with your special character. Keep the focus on the players.

That goes triple for a DMPC/NPC designed to be the best at something ("most beautiful in the world"). The PCs aren't there to be her fan club.

No. Never. Even when you have only one player. Any character played by the GM is an NPC. Period. They exist solely to support (in the literary sense) the PC(s).

What that means is that, if the player doesn't like the NPC, it goes. The NPC doesn't get to outshine the PC, over all; even the few, inevitable moments that come of having an NPC wizard nuke the room full of kobolds are downplayed. If the NPC loses it's value to the story/adventure, it goes -- though a future story may bring it back or verisimilitude may drive it remaining, but in the background.

I ran a side, solo campaign for years. The NPCs were never GMPCs. They only existed to make the game more fun for the player. Take pride in the world and the PC's story, not your character. That way lies madness (or crappy GMing).

...any ideas?

In all honesty, I'd say that your friends are only holding you back. You'd probably be able to run a much better game if you dumped those freeloaders.

You could even maybe add a second DMPC to beef up your defenses and cover for her (I'm sorry, but pitiful) STR, DEX, and WIS scores.

I'm worried that she won't be integrated quite well enough into the story of the campaign. Making up some kind of ancient prophecy, and then making her the chosen one of the prophecy, would probably help.

Yeah. and if you decide to keep your players around, you can make memorizing and reciting the prophecy back you you something that they have to do before you'll let them play. Or maybe you can do pop quizzes for them to be able to get their XP?

Some players don't like to share the spotlight with DMPCs but they can be kept busy making sandwiches, going on beer runs, and washing the car in the driveway (weather permitting).

*edit* BTW, I'd post more thoughts but in the "Legacy" mode of EN World, I can only see the thread title and the auto-linked words (though Pathfinder fudge either sounds delicious or unsanitary). :p
