Is this feat worth taking?

I am making a 3rd level elven wizard with a 20 int and 9 con. Is it worth taking this feat from the FRCS?

Mind over body: Basically get Int bonus to HP instead of con at first level only, plus gain one HP per each meta magic feat you learn.

I figure 6 extra hit points can't hurt. I am using the Elements of Magic rules and plan to basically sling elemental damage spells and buff others and myself. Is there a feat I really should be taking? Am I missing something?

Thanks for the help.

PS. I am not sure if this is the right forum but I'll start it here!

If you are also planning on taking metamagic feats it would also help. I'd think that just for starting with 9hp other then 3hp would be a good reason to take it.

Edit: What race are you? If you don't take this feat any idea what you would take?

Since it's not always easy to keep a wizard character alive long enough to get them to powerful levels, I'd say yeah, it's a good feat. It's especially good if you plan on taking metamagic feats later. The only other alluring feat from FRCS is Spell Casting Prodigy, IMO. Of course, that one is only good if you live long enough to benefit from it.

I'd go with Mind Over Body, were I you.

Take a human instead of an elf, and take both this feat and Spellcasting Prodigy. For spellcasting, your INT score will still effectively be 20, but you'll be able to have a CON of 12 at 4th level.

There you go. And as an added benefit, you won't be an elf.

You can take that feat only at first level, so you can't take it since you're at 3rd level. And it only gives the big hp boost at first level, and the metamagic bonus only when you learn a metamagic feat, so you'd get 5 hp, not 6 as somebody said.

He's making a character starting at third, so he can define this as the feat he took at first level. Adn the 6 hp is because con bonus is -1 and Int bonus is +5, a 6 point difference.

Hahahaha. You rock so hard. :D

The feats definately worth taking, you'll never know when an extra six HP come in handy. That's a nice arrow hit, or a medium sword hit.

OR A PATHETIC DAVE PUNCH!
