It didn't take long Sunless Citadel in NWN

I tried a RttToEE-mod just now. It was riddled with bugs and the modulemaker didn't stay true to Monte's vision very much. If I was Monte I would be more upset with the poor quality than anything else.

I played the most popular version of That Module That Must Not Be Named recently, thought it was pretty good. Though it took some mental adjustment to get over the bugbear models being used for kobolds (I would've used the different-colored goblins).

Yeah... though you think they could have done a little research... there ARE kobold models out there, IIRC. Would have been simple to add in a Hak for them...

Actually, while I like the models (esp. Polyhedral's), I have yet to see a WORKING custom monster with animations in a user-designed mod. I know some folks are working hard on them, and that a new utility has come out (a plug-in for 3d Max, IIRC) that allows people to convert files to NWN's proprietary format, but at the moment such solutions are cumbersome and difficult for end-users to implement. I try to follow the Custom Content threads over at Bioware's forums, and I'm excited about the work that's in progress, but other than some new tilesets I haven't seen that much actually come out yet in the way of finished, ready to use project.

From the Bioware forums today, Polyhedral said (when asked about the status of his modding projects):
Sorry to say they are still just .c4d and .3ds modles none of them are proper .mdl format yet (some are in beta model viewer .mdl format with no hierarchy or animation so not much use to DMs or Players.

Please bear with me while I await a method to convert them that will not eat up alot of time. Sicne it is time I can spend making more stuff right now.

Of course, I wouldn't mind being proved wrong, if you've heard anything new...
