Congrats! While I have never smoked I know my Dad (who quit cold turkey years and years ago) and my brother found it difficult but very worthwhile. Both are still smoke free years later.

My wife quit the weekend of a three day con!

It was tough, but the cold-turkey/stuck inside and unable to smoke thing broke

Yeah, never smoked either. My mom and stepdad both quit and my sister, well... She smokes a lot.
