It's hot!

Damn hot! Real hot! Hottest things is my shorts. I could cook things in it. A little crotch pot cooking.
Tonight? It's gonna be hot and wet! That's nice if you're with a lady, but ain't no good if you're in the (urban) jungle!

It's 35 °C. That may not sound like a lot but for someone who grew up with Minnesota winters and air-conditioned Minnesota summers it's just too damn hot. And despite the fact that the Netherlands is playing Brazil in one and half hours it's busy as hell in the store.
In fact, I should probably get back to work.

Thank you for sharing. I would've made some sort of double entendre comment on this, but...you basically already beat the dead horse off, or whatever that saying is, all by yourself...

35 degrees Celsius would be heaven for me.

I've lived most of the past eleven years in Singapore but am back in Brisbane for winter and I am not coping despite the fact that our winters are relatively mild (the low is about 5 degrees and the high is between 16 and 20).

I actually went back to Singapore on business a couple of weeks ago even though I didn't need to: I just needed to defrost!

So, in the past month I've seen two people from southern California coming up here. My aunt for the week of Father's Day, and just this past week, an online D&D friend I had yet to actually meet in person. BOTH complained frequently about how "hot" it was here...in Rhode Island!!

Apparently the humidity is a lot worse here. I just couldn't help but think, "You're from southern Cal....suck it up..."

To be fair, So Cal has been really mild this summer (it's been in the 70s and low 80s along the coasts, 80s and 90s inland) compared to it's usual summer weather of high 80s to 100s. And yeah, the humidity here i usually minimal to non-existent so we're not used to feeling like someone coated us with spray mount like you New Englanders do.
