For me personally, it is more than just a game. It's my artform and one of the most significant activities to me. Someone once told me "Work with your hands and you're a laborer. Work with your hands and mind and you're a crafsman. Work with your hands, mind, heart and soul and you are an artist." That's how I understand it.
Now, in itself, it is a game. And many people can consider it as just a game. Also, when comparing game issues with real world issues, game issues come obviously second to me. But there are as many gamers as there are opinions on this subject. Bottom line, it's just a game, but it can be much more significant to some people, like me.
