D&D (2024) Its till just me or is the 2024 MM heavily infused by more 4e influences?

I mean, good grief, the first iconic setting in dnd gave us the Circle of Eight. Every village had multiple casters. There were multiple magic items everywhere.

Early DnD was not low magic.

But it was low casting. You could easily go entirely combats without a single spell being cast.

Now it’s unlikely to go a single round without multiple spells being cast.

That’s the difference.

no, but with whether D&D has become more magical, this is what this was about as far as I understand it
But that was not what I was asking with my question. If I ask a question about scissors it would be odd to respond with an answer about paper, even if you were previously discussing paper.

I didn't realize that was the case in Dragonlance. I thought the colors meant you had good, neutral, and evil magic users.
You do, but non-mages in general don't trust any of them, no matter the color of their robe.

The new adventure probably softens that idea quite a bit, but that's what I grew up with so to me that's Dragonlance.

Yeah, and that's not to mention the Known World/Mystara which was also pretty high magic.

I only read about 7-8 of the novels (one a series of short stories) and I didn't catch on that (that I remember, it has be 40 years). Was it part of the RPG products? I only had one module.
