I'm all about the hit-and-run baddies. Without doubt my favorite kind of opponent.

It's pretty certain that an ankheg will turn up in my games somewhere. I love those guys.

"Let the suffereing begin." is nearly always uttered before my campaigns. Probably due to my hating TPK's, because I'd rather have PC's suffer and come back for more, than just wipe them out.
Of course I start the suffering off right from the start, but ...
The other one is, "Even if we guess your plot, you're going to come up with something new that hurts us even more."
Can't argue. That's true. Nothing I hate more than when some wise-acre player figres out my epic campaign arcing plot from the get go, so I have stopped plotting that far in advance, and just react to my players now.

Heh. Oh really? This came up because I struck down a spell from the Ultimate Divine Spellbook (and had the unspoken desire to nerf two others, but let one stand because it was convenient for the flow of the adventure). And last session, I extrapolated on what the effects of speak with plants would do if you cast in on Ygdrassil while it was being corrupted by a Far Realm entity.

But I didn't know I had a rep. Ah well, at least they know where I stand and won't be shocked when it happened in the future.

Funny I thought your rep came from being a) pretty decent reviewer and a man that believes in gaming fun over rules that cramp your style. b) Doesn't mind killing stupid PCs. C) nerfing nerfers.

My players tend to figure out that when I start grinning, bad things will soon happen to their characters. If things go really bad, I giggle too. My players are generally smart enough to avoid TPKs, but occasional deaths are gonna happen. I don't railroad, but I don't pull my punches either.
