Ivellious' Sunless Citadel

Ulfgar: Dwarven Cleric of Heironeous

"Perhaps you are correct, Durann, but I don't have the spell available right now. Hmm, perhaps if I..."

The cleric stamps his booted feet on the wooden floor, waving his arms wildly in front of the stone-faced young man.

Rashford is too busy hearing his own brain works to hear the dwarf, but when Ulfgar steps in front of him and waves his arms about, Rashford begins to pay attention

Ulfgar: Dwarven Cleric of Heironeous

"You seem quite distracted young man, almost to the point of catatonia. If you would like to unburden yourself, my friend Durann here and I are quite good listeners."

Ulfgar puts on a sympathetic face and waits to hear what the young man has to say.

Durann Brightstone: Paladin of Heironeous

Lady Durann now in a much niced dress but still with her tabard of Heironeous to show who she is steps into the middle of the room and claps a few times to get the Inn patrons attention. Once things have quieted down a bit she will begin,

"Brighest blessings from the God of Heros. I am Lady Brightstone a follower of Heironeous and to my left"(pointing to Ulfgar) "is Brother Ulfgar of Heironeous. I wanted you all to know we are in town should our services be needed. The church of our faith has sent us to aid your fair town and we shall be opening a chapel on the outskirts of town when we have raised the finances to do so."
She holds up her holy symbol and turns to Ulfgar, "Have you anything to add Brother?"

Rashford stares befuddled at the two, what he assumes to be, nutjobs of the cloth. After all, he just met the man and he's already declared Rash to be brain dead before he could say a word. But as father said, use other's willingness to help even if they aren't too bright in the head...or something like that. Rashford looks over the the woman speaking and says to the man,
"Hey buddy, I think your sister wants a speech before she does any listening."

Sir d'Orien sits back and enjoys the show, sipping his ale and chomping his way through the food. When the bartender passes by, he motions him closer and says:"I say, good man, I've heard about this modern theater, but I didn't expect to see it here in this hamlet. What is the name of this troupe? They are jolly good. "

The barkeep merely shrugs to Rupert as he replies, "I haven't a clue. They're not part of any troupe we have in town. But I do have to agree with you sir, they are quite hilarious."

Ulfgar: Dwarven Cleric of Heironeous

"I've nothing to add, Durann; I think you've commanded their attention when I was unable to. Nicely done."

Ulfgar gives a little start when the taciturn young man addresses him. "I think Lady Durann is finished, friend. But her offer stands--we are here to be of service to the good people of Oakhurst, which is why I approached you. You seem to be carrying a heavy burden, and I thought we might be of some help in carrying it."

Durann Brightstone: Paladin of Heironious

Lady Duran blushes a bit and curtsies to the crowd. Her golden hair and saphyre eyes shining in the light. She wanders over to the bar again and asks the 'keep "So do you know of any one who could use our help?"

He looked at Ulfgar with a confused appearance,
"Well I'm not from here but I applaud your initiative...However awkward and intrusive it may be. I bet you'll find it in your interest that I do require a hand or two. I suppose you're the best person I could run into at a time like this. But I guess it's best if we discuss this as a team. From the looks of it, you just got here, but I won't wait for you to recover. If you still wish to join me meet me here. If you stay and enjoy a meal I should be back when you have finished."
With that, Rashford turned to leave and prepare himself for the trip...not leaving chance to underestimate the journey he donned all his equipment to plan for the worst.
