I too submitted entries to the contest email address at the Pelgrane site. Of course, I wasn't clear on whether the posted list of Equivalents included all those from the Primer...or even whether those were among the spells included in the Primer at all, rather than simply examples. The way people are talking now, seems like those Equivalents are all that appeared in the Primer? If so, I think only 2 of my 10 submitted names were duplicates. But I gave Illustrious/Dismal write-ups for all the entries, too.

Anyway, here's another hopeful awaiting a reply.

Does anybody else think that the "Illustrious Success/Dismal Failure" thing would be a great add-on variant to D&D's regular arcane spells? D&D's magic system IS based on Vance's stuff, after all.
