D&D General Jaquaying the dungeon - a term to avoid

It sounds like to me that the answer to your question is "because he is influential in TTRPGS and this is a place where we can discuss those types of people, regardless of other's personal feelings about him".

You skipped "I am asking why, if the theme of this thread is, "what's appropriate behavior" people are promoting someone known for bad behavior"

I mean, are you seriously saying I shouldn't question "guy known for inappropriate behavior" when he calls for a change due to what he perceives to be inappropriate behavior?

RPGPundit is "influential" but would you be objecting to someone raising this same topic about what he views as inappropriate behavior? This sure seems to come down to "But I like him so it's OK."

I quoted the first and last up to that point so you knew I had read up to that point. I guess I should have quoted every message.

You can question whatever you want. But it's a weird question to ask in a thread that has been going on for ten pages already.

OK, sure, lets get Hyperbolic. I was hoping this thread would turn into "Mistwell lashes out when he comes in basically admonishing those who dont want to jump on the admonishment train". This sounds like a great use of everyone's time.

And I said given the theme of this topic is what is appropriate behavior, quoting a guy known for inappropriate behavior seems like something that's fair to question. Which is what I did, and you accused me of calling for a blacklist?

I thought you were saying he shouldn't be promoted on the forum at all. If I was mistaken then I appologize

But again, the OP is about the term that Justin Alexander coined, so I don't know how you have a thread devoted to that without linking to his post about it

I lashed out?

You're going after me for asking the question of whether this person, known for inappropriate behavior on many message boards, is a good source for what is inappropriate behavior. It's not hyperbolic. He's literally more banned than RPGpundit so that was not hyperbole either. It sure does look like "I like him so it's OK." And if that's your answer, cool. But you don't seem willing to even discuss if it's a fair question to be asking.

The OP seemed to be raising the topic himself when he said, "I would concede that what he wants may not be a sufficient reason to change the terminology." Though it's not clear that's what he meant by that comment.

I didnt go after you. I gave you an answer that didnt include anything about you because you kept asking the same question. What else did you want?
