D&D General Jaquaying the dungeon - a term to avoid

I don't think a starfish or dendritic layout reflects Jaquays' design principles which the original article exalts.
No, they don't, and aren't intended to. I mention (and name) them as somewhat-common intermediate design types between fully linear and Jaquays dungeons.
Part of the point of a Jaquays dungeon is that it contains loops and the ability to encounter stuff in different order. Depending on which ways the PCs go, they may have SEVERAL different orders in which they can encounter various rooms and locations. Combine that with multiple entrances, so even the first room/area encountered can vary. And multiple and tastefully-deployed vertical connections between levels, so areas can be circumnavigated vertically as well as horizontally, and approached from different directions that way too.
I already knew all this. :)
If you haven't read the original articles, I recommend them. All the cool ideas that Charlequin listed a few posts ago, including looping options and paths, verticality, and multiple entrances, which Jaquays starting using in dungeons like Caverns of Thracia back in the 70s were IME a bit more advanced and thoughtful than most attempts even at non-linear dungeons. She had a TON of neat ideas and she had them really early. IMO she deserves the credit.
Agreed.

I don't even remember the details of his departure, but he is an influential RPG blogger (one of the most influential) so I think it would be silly to prohibit discussion of anything he posts or is involved in.
I didn't mean to imply "prohibit" discussion. I am asking why, if the theme of this thread is, "what's appropriate behavior" people are promoting someone known for bad behavior, on many RPG boards including this one?

Depends on what you mean by bad behavior. There's the bad behavior of being a sexist gatekeeper or harasser - behaviors for which people might agree we should ostracize the perpetrator. And then there's the bad behavior of being rude about people's intelligence for not recognizing bad writing when they see it - which might get someone banned for crossing a board's policies, but probably isn't worth ostracizing them for in the broader community. There are definitely differences in types of bad behavior and whether or not someone should be talked about (which isn't the same as promoting).

He is banned from the site, but beyond not initially understanding why using a trans person's dead name to refer to their work in the past was bad and stating his criticism in a way that can be extreme* - as far as I can tell he's not a bad actor (i.e. bigoted or promoting hatred; done absolutely evil or abhorrent things; scammer etc.).

* sometimes a critique can go into absolutely vitriolic levels and can be harmful in terms of what it can drive others to do, e.g. hate campaigns against certain actors or actresses, conspiracies, etc. Much as critique is important, covering things you enjoy is important too, and it is important to see the positive as well; only actually extremely hateful, bigotted etc. material should be afforded no leniency.

It's why whatever faults it has as a concept and channel, Cinema Wins contributes more to film discourse and criticism than Cinema Sins ever has.

What part of what I said would imply blacklisting in any way? I mean, I literally said in that quote "I don't mean prohibit."

Fair enough but the OP is literally a link to a post on his blog about the term being changed. Seems relevant to the topic

Why are we continuing to promote Justin Alexander in threads on this site, given his behavior here?

It sounds like to me that the answer to your question is "because he is influential in TTRPGS and this is a place where we can discuss those types of people, regardless of other's personal feelings about him".

And I said given the theme of this topic is what is appropriate behavior, quoting a guy known for inappropriate behavior seems like something that's fair to question. Which is what I did, and you accused me of calling for a blacklist?
