John Cooper reviews MMIII, and finds loads of mistakes

Bah. John has yet to review an S&SS product (or even an S&SS Affilate!)

So while he's good I'd like to see him take on bigger names than Mongoose or Silverthorne Games. :p

As a Staff Reviewer I'm sure he's just reviews the stuff he gets sent like the rest of us.

K. Well maybe you guys need to have like an EN World "swag" account.

This way someone OTHER than Psion and/or Joe can review S&SS stuff.

Most companies only want to send out so many copies of review materials. So, they send out mostly to Joe and Psion since they are the two proven reviewers here at EN World. I really don't know who exactly gets sent what, I can only guess based off what titles they review. Heck, I'd love to get some of their stuff to review.

A few posters mentioned that "WotC should be held to a highter standard."

Where does the bar for "higher standard" end? For WotC, it sometimies seems that it is at the point where any mistake is unforgivable.

Is it really fair that WotC get nitpicked upon more thoroughly than others (but then again, devil's advocate, WotC is a bigger company afterall and you can't really please everybody out there.)

Does that mean that other d20 publishing companies are treated a bit more leniently in terms of errors in their products?

Hopefully this isn't offensive, just curious. ;)

Well, there is a diufference between being nitpicked and getting 40% of the creatures stat blocks wrong. Wizards are kept to a higher standard becasue they were first, they are the biggests, and they have shown themselves to be the best. But they have also shown great slips of quality. But they, like everyone else, need to be told that we want better.

Sounds good! My curiousity is appeased. :D

I meant like a swag fund. You know, people put in a few dollars here, a few dollars there.

The reviewers can spend it ONLY on products they are going to review.

This way, we get more reviews. At least that's my idea.

Indeed.

40% of the creatures have statblocks in which an error has been made.
40% of the stats are wrong.

Which do you actually mean?

Cheers!

Throw the ideas at some publishers, its them that controls who gets what and when.

Well, they are the same. Any error in a stat block does mean the stat block is wrong.
