Jonathan Strange and Dr. Norrell

I finished just the book. Both in flavor and historical setting, its pretty far removed from the standard fanasty genre that inspires much of D&D. Nonetheless, it was a fasinating book with an intriguing take on the nature and practice of magic. The material on the realms of Faerie was also quite thought-provoking. Although I think "JS&DN d20" wouldn't make for a particularly good RPG (imagine role-playing inside a Jane Austin novel with a few spells and faeries thrown in), the book itself is a treasure trove of great fantasty "fluff" particularly about magic and faeries. I've molling over how to "d20-ize" aspects of the book but the subtly of the material makes it a bit challenging. Has anyone been inspired by JS&DN or tired to weave it into a d20 campaign?

Jonathan Strange & Mr. Norrell was a very entertaining read. I actually believe now that there's a tradition of English wizardry :)
