Really?

I may have to actually buy a .pdf, now.

Chuck'll be happy. :)

For those curious, the PDF version of Legend of Samurai is split into a non-magic classes and equipment book, a magic book, and a setting book.

Bushido Handbook (where the ninja and other goodies are)
Mystic Arts
Campaign Guide

The book is written as sort of a stand alone setting, but it shouldn't be too difficult to adapt it to D&D where desired.

They've added some titles since the hardcover; you can find the whole line here:

Thanks for letting me know Psion.

*thought the Savant was good, revised or no* It's just the class people need to be good without being excellent.

My idea for the class was to create a character who could go it alone, with a lot of abilities to boost itself, instead of others (like a bard) for a limited period of time each day. A jack of all trades type... the perfect PC for a group that has a missing player problem.
Sounds a little like the Warlock, but less magicky, and the self-boosts might have more restrictions.

Jd,

I think that's the idea since a lot of people love Warlock, just that he needs more invocations to make him more...well indispensable. ;)
