[June] What are you playing?

Funny story. My wife has made a friend through some playgroups, and this friend has a husband who plays a lot of computer games. I think in hopes that her friend's husband would also become friends with me, she was wondering if I was familiar with the game that her husband was playing, and thought maybe I could play it too, so was asking me if I'd heard of it, and whether I had played it and/or liked it. The game was "Battlefield 1942". I'm not that familiar with it, but I've heard of it.

I told her "be careful what you wish for." :)

Anyway, I'm currently playing I-Ninja for PS2, which is a surprisingly complex, and lengthy game. Well, lengthy... I only play maybe for maybe an hour when I play, and even then it's not every day. But the review of it said it could be finished in a weekend. Hardly.

Update...

Just got God of War and played until first seeing Ares in Athens. Stunningly great game. I haven't gotten this kind of visceral rush since Halo. Not for the younguns. I likes me some killin'.

This is one of those games where I certainly know that it will get better as it goes along. Maybe the last Great PS2 game?

And I picked up a PSP. Lumines is fantastic and perfect for the system. Wonderful pick-up-and-maybe-put-down portable game.

I've also been playing Soldat from time to time. It's a side-scrolling 2D action game that plays like a cross between Counterstrike and Worms. Soldat also has excellent bot support. Those who are interested can download it free from the game's site: http://www.soldat.prv.pl/

With any luck, I'll have Makai Kingdom in my hands by the month's end . . .

Edit: Doh! It actually comes out next month. :\

Thankfully that's not even close to the case for me.

I'm really looking forward to FFXII, Dragon Quest VIII, Grandia III, Kingdom Hearts II, and Tales of Legendia, among others.

Still not playing anything though I borrowed Simpsons Hit & Run, so I'll have to actually play that some.

What took so long?

Oh, no quiting on this one!

Wait until you get to the Temple of Pandora, if you haven't already, the whole frikkin' level is a puzzle!

A suggestion, focus on beefing up the blades of chaos and the pseidon and hades powers over everything else (I never used the medusa one after getting it and the blade of artemis is rather worthless as well), zeus' power is cheap so it doesn't hurt to beef it up a bit..

I occasionally play Guild Wars but don't know anyone there, so it's not as much fun to play without companionship.

I created a newbie necromancer in EverQuest, used all the plat I had sitting on my 66 cleric to hook her up with some decent gear, so I could have a character that I could solo once in a while when there's nothing on tv and I'm bored. It was amazing how fast I was sucked back into the "wanna play EQ!" mode that I used to be deep in the thrall of.

Anyway, if anyone plays on the Bristlebane/Solusek Ro server, and wants/needs a necro in their guild, feel free to send me a pm :) The char is a newbie but I'm an experienced player, and I watched an ex-bf level a necro to 70 the hard way, so I know how to play the character, just need to bang out a few levels or 65 or so.
