Just because the Warforged is mentioned in a playtest doesn't mean it's in the PHB

Everyone's jumping to conclusions too quickly. Warforged characters in the playtest have either been a converted character from 3.5e in an existing Eberron campaign, or the instance of a player asking to get the chance to play one.

If warforged aren't in the PHB, then it seems like the playtest group isn't really doing a very good job of playtesting. I'd think they'd want to make sure sure they give the newly tweaked core races as much stress testing as possible rather than dicking around with something that won't even be in the initial books. Oh, there'll be warforged in the PHB, mark my words!

Clearly what he meant to say was that there'll be warforged in the MM! Which doesn't seem all that unlikely, to me.

I've been a little inconsitent on forged, but you know what? We don't need magic robots in D&D, any more than we needed flumphs, those fake floor monsters, evil squirrels that steal your soul in acorns, and mimics.
