I read a little of this issue while riding the bike today, but I realized that I want to just sit down somewhere and read it. I didn't expect anything more than what they gave, a retrospective, thoughts from famous D&D-related people throughout the years, and some good articles. Stuff like this is what keeps me going, not brand new feats. Sometimes I think part of the appeal of the old game was that everything could have a new system. Since the game rules were such a mess, new systems abounded for everything from magic item and trap creation to new equipment and spells. It's great to have a codified system for everything in some ways, but in another it lacks the charm and wonder of the old editions for that reason.

I can't wait to read this one.
