Justice League Unlimited and Teen Titans 9/18 [Spoilers!]

Nightfall

Sage of the Scarred Lands
Okay I have to say, tonight's JLU ROCKED on so many, many levels. Returns of OLD favorites from the Batman/Superman Cartoon! Seeing Amazo just literally TEAR into people and come out it unharmed. I know I discusssed this earlier, but MAN I think he'd given Fate or Mordru a run for his money! I counted at least 60 heroes that were down/incapaciated or at least rendered useless.

But still nice to see that it wasn't brute force that won, but understanding.

Oh and the little bit of Hawkgirl. Wow. :) I still got shivers from that.

Teen Titans was a nice comic romp. But JLU was da BOMB!

Amazo was great. Like how the JLU was just a speed bump to him. The look on the second and third groups faces when they heard they were next was priceless.

No kidding. That one's SERIOUSLY pumped up Android. He didn't even need to "adapt" to the JLU's attacks. He had already gone up in power like...well I guess Pre-Crisis of Infinite Earths Supes. At least DAMN close.

But man it's scary if he had revenge on his mind...he'd be a force that make the heavens tremble. Course I do wonder if the DC gods might not have gotten involved IF they felt he was that powerful. No idea but I kept thinking "Man Fate. You'd best be doing SOMETHING!"

But typical of Fate, he's got something else in the mix but still ends up helping to save the day.

I liked the episode too..I really like the references to past DC animated shows as well as touches to the comics.

That said, those of us out of touch with continuities of comic universes (which I understand have become quite problematic) can get kinda confused.

So I got questions-

Why was Raynor on Oa..John Stewart is GL for Earth in the series, right?

Who were the other heroes in tonites ep? I didnt recognize the Metal dude, or the green clad woman hurt in the space battle.

Otherwise, a nice episode, although Im a bit more partial to the Titans.

Now if we can convince the powers that be to do a Legion of Superheroes show...even without Superboy that would be cool.

I remember the "metal guy" from the Superman AS. I'm not sure if he appeared in any comics, but he was always one of my favorites.

JLU did indeed rock... it rocked very hard!

The metal guy with the hammer was Steel and I believe the green gal was Fire, who used to be Green Flame (notice that her partner Ice aka Ice Maiden was also shown in the episode).

Besides Steel there were at least two other guys in power armor. Anyone know who they were? I've never been a DC expert. The guy with the star on his outfit, was that an incarnation of Starman? Anyone wanna go through and tell us who everyone was? :)

Let's see....

In space, I think we had: Superman, Green Lantern, Dr. Light (the woman in the white cape), S.T.R.I.P.E (power armor), Starman, Orion, Captain Atom.

Second line: Supergirl, Rocket Red, Red Tornado and Fire.

Ground team: Flash, Wonder Woman, Steel and Ice.

Sounds about right. I'll watch this again today at 5 pm to ensure that anything I missed, will be mentioned.

But yes, the guy in the armor, that's Steel.
