OH MY GOD that's so cool!! Atlantean sorcerer kings! Thanagaran's worhipping Cthulhu...Icthultu...whatever! Gonna be taping this on monday and Tuesday! I'm going to find the name of the writer if this episode and send them a box of cookies :)

I usually don't bother watching JL on a Sat...but tonite's episode changed that! Excellent stuff indeed.

Yep. My only gripe, I wish guys involved would have explained it earlier. Oh well. Still a great episode. Definitely HP Lovecraft worthy.

I liked this one as well.

While the Grundy as Hulk jokes were pretty blatant ("Hawkgirl smash.") I think there may have been a subtle Defenders homage going on, with Grundy (the Hulk), Dr. Fate (Dr. Strange) and Namor (Aquaman) all teaming up to fight extradimensional evil. Some of the minions of Ikthultu (sp) were pretty darned Ditkoesque.

ASTOUNDING!!!

Oh, for those who don't understand the significance of Grundy's tombstone:

Solomon Grundy,
Born on a Monday,
Christened on a Tuesday,
Married on a Wednesday,
Took ill in Thursday,
Worse on Friday,
Died on Saturday,
Buried on Sunday,
This is the end
Of Solomon Grundy.

The poem (an English Nursery Rhyme) is where Solomon Grundy got his name from (in the comics; the first people Grundy met were some wandering thugs, who asked who he was -- he said he couldn't remember, on account of just being born; one of the thugs remembered the nursery rhyme, and the name stuck).

Where was Rob Zombie in the credits? Was he the voice of Ykthultu?
