KahunaCon (Providence area gameday) June 2nd and 3rd!

I am a bit confused about the name of this con. How can anything called Kahuna be outside of Hawaii? I get that the username associated with the con is Kahuna, but still...it's a very hawaii-specific name. It would be like calling something HollywoodCon in Kansas...

Well, KahunaCon is hosted by Kahuna Burger. You could get a burger at "The Big Kahuna" in Pulp Fiction, which I do not believe was located in Hawaii.

Kahuna also has meaning in Australia, so it isn't all that Hawaii specific.

Plus, have you ever been to North Attleboro, Massachusetts? How do you know that it isn't like a little piece of Hawaii, especially if KB gets her new pool and we set up plastic palm trees?


If someone ran a con at a Hollywood Video in Kansas, why couldn't they call it HollywoodCon? And what about Hollywood, Florida? Could they have a con and use the name?

Like...ditto. I did pick up d20 Modern the other day though. Some cool stuff in there, so I think I've got my system. I'll try to post a teaser and some character bios before the last minute.

Little over two weeks left til the gameday. I'd like to say my game is done, but that'd be a lie. Still, I've got plenty of time.

I still have to do character sheets for the two new Sidewinder Characters, but as both were NPC's in my other Wild West game it shouldn't take me too long. I may have to redo the new Feng Shui character too as it was 95% finished but I seem to have misplaced the datastick the file was on. The games themselves are ready to run.

Ah. The opposite of me. Characters were done several weeks ago. They just need names. But I always make the characters first, since knowing what they're capable of helps me work out the scenario.
