Katana Deflects Bullets

Hmm. It's pretty obvious that a length of steel can deflect small calibur rounds, but still, that's cool. BUT do they deflect them enough to protect the swordsman to save his life? *checks video* Nope.

I like how it cuts the 50-cal rounds in half for a bit before being destroyed. :D

Yeah, I wouldn't want to have been standing back there. Hee.

I've seen a guy deflect THROWN weapons with a katana, but bullets?

If that katana had been swinging in the hands of a master, the blade would not only have deflected the .50 cal round, but ricocheted it back at the gunman!
But only if he is 15th level and has got the proper feat chain. ;)

And the assistant gunner. And all the spectators. And then it would have passed the tip of the master's cigarette fast enough that the friction would have lit it.

One bullet.

Click the link at the bottom for the 9mm bullet. That one also sliced the bullet in half, but the spread was large enough that I think it WOULD have protected the proverbial wielder. So maybe not a machinegun, but possibly a light pistol.
