Ken Hood's Psionics system in d20 Modern?

Do you think that Ken Hood's Skills 'n' Feats Psionics system would work better in D20 Modern than the Battlemind and Telepath? It seems much more accesable, and better for 'dabblers.' Also has a nice, well, Grim 'n' Gritty D ) feel.
