Kenku, Merrow, Sahuagin, Thri-Kreen, and Trow!

This PDF contains 5 new player races and feats for those races. Among the races is an updated version of my Kenku, now with a cooler power than screech!

Art is courtesy Google, save for the cover and titlebars - those are modified versions of Sade's rusty covers.

What is one-half a hand?

What is a trow - troll and - what?

Tri-keen look good, though.

For the "Takes up half a hand" I couldn't think of a better way to say it. The idea is a Kreen could hold up to four one-handed off-hand weapons, such as daggers. Any suggestions for wording?

Basically;
• Treat two-handed as one handed
• Treat one-handed as having the off hand property
• If normally one-handed and off-hand, can hold and use two in one hand
• If not a weapon, one still fully takes up a hand. Shield for example, or wand.

If we're dealing with a kreen with a shield, a 2 greatswords, 2 longswords, and 4 daggers, these are all the permutations available assuming he were to fully fill his hands.

A greatsword and 2 daggers, a greatsword and a shield, 2 daggers and a shield, 4 daggers, 2 longswords, a longsword and a shield, a longsword and 2 daggers, a longsword and a greatsword, or, if you're a ranger, two greatswords.

Trow is just another word for troll - they aren't half-anything.

Beautiful layout. I haven't looked over the races in detail yet, though I'm very intrigued by the merrow and kenku. I just wanted to congratulate you on your layout - it is very clean and well done.

Glad you like the layout. I actually intend to publish some PDFs on RPGNow, and this was a sort of experiment to see if I could get the layout to work properly. After I buy some art (using Googled art in a commercial product is, as I'm sure you know, a no-no), I should be able to publish my first work.

I too love the layout. WOuld definately purchase something like this with original art.

In fact have written stuff like this myself, but have no skills in layout and decorating pdfs.

Happy to colaborate if you are interested....and pitch in for original art.

The races look good - I will go over for rules, etc, but I am not sure I would just use dnd trolls for trow. I would take them back to the Dark Age origins a little more. (An old Dark Age version of Dragon mag got me into them...and erklings of course).
