Kick-butt Software I Saw at a Conference

Katerek

Iconic Gnoll
So I am trolling around this conference today out here in Reno for Urban Planners and GIS Users and I cam across this one particular booth that had a product that quite frankly made my sweet little gamer heart go pitter patter.

3d Building Modelling.

And it is easy as three kinds of mud-pie to use. Check out the link...I am telling ya, this is some sweet stuff. I encouraged them to pimp themselves to the gamer market, and they said they were already all over it, so who knows where this will go.

My intention is to get this and use it to model all my castles and villages. Its a bit pricey, but it's always fun to drool aint it?

Piranesi is pretty awesome to add onto a 3D picture to breath life into it:

I am working with Autodesk's AutoCAD Building Systems at work, and it's been fun making 3D renderings just to see where we need to coordinate. One of these days I'll get to use it for fun...

It's supposed to be a bathroom planner, but can be used for whatever, and has light sources, windows, furniture, wall & floor colors and tiles, and to top it off there are 4 adjustable cameras to take pics. It took me 1/2 hour to make my first room (because I added everything I could into it) and 15 min for the rest.
