Systems Malfunction is a tabletop roleplaying game setting of similar complexity and tone to A Song of Ice And Fire (Game of Thrones), set in space across multiple planets.
The Systems Malfunction setting was created collaboratively over the course of a decade, with the help of loyal and creative fans of the original LARP on which the Tabletop RPG is based.
While we have previously released the Systems Malfunction Campaign and Setting book along with the Singularity System Core Rulebook for tabletop players, this project hopes to merge the two books into a single, easy-to-use book with updated rules and higher production values.
Hundreds of stories can be told within the Systems Malfunction universe, and your player character can have an impact on the fate of the galaxy.
As a LARP, Systems Malfunction always ran on the premise that ANYONE, no matter how new to the story or the game, could create real, lasting changes in the course of history. Now, we want to welcome those who may be new to the Systems Malfunction setting, and invite players across the world to choose their side, make their mark, and alter the face of the galaxy forever.
Perhaps you're a war veteran jaded from one of the galaxy's many conflicts, or a criminal looking to profit off these times of crisis.
Perhaps you're an operative working for the Republic or one of the Great Houses.
Perhaps you're a wandering refugee with nowhere to go, a young traveler looking to make a name for yourself, or a gun-for-hire willing to work for whoever pays you the most.
In times like this, there are new opportunities - and new dangers - around every corner.
