King Conan, is it actually going to happen this time?

We've heard about it for decades. The sequel to Conan the Barbarian and Conan the Destroyer. We've had some false starts, some fake outs, and even some wishful hopes...but none have turned out.

Will it actually be a reality this time, or is it just more of the same old...same old??

I don't know how interested I am in watching an action movie starring a septuagenerian even if it's Arnold. For Equalizer 3, they had McCall get injured in an early scene and I'm convinced it was to provide the audience with a reason why Denzel Washington, in his late 60s at the time, moved so slowly during the rest of the movie. Arnold's going to turn 79 this year, he might be an octuagenerian by the time they start filming, and while he's in good shape, I doubt he's up to the physical demands of the part. I suppose they can use CGI but I don't think they'll strike lightning with Conan like they did in 1982.

I saw that too, and if anything it made me less confident. If you're talking about doing one movie, great. If you're talking about doing three, maybe you're just talking about fun ideas.

Yeah, I think the script really needs to lean into the fact that Conan is old here, and he’s King - he doesn’t have to be the guy swinging the sword throughout an entire two hour movie.

Commando makes more sense. You can shoot a gun from a wheel chair, you can have an old guy set elaborate traps, plus it was never super realistic to begin with.

For Conan your going to need a banger of a script to have it not stretch credibility.
