Kitten Kaboodle

Mycanid

First Post
Had something cool happen to me the evening before Thanksgiving.

I heard some meowing outside the kitchen window, and went out into the rain (I did not recognize the sound to be of any of my other cats - got 5) to look. It turned out to be an approx. 3 month old black, medium hair length kitten! I followed her around a bit (under porches and such) and finally got a hold of her. Since then I have been feeding her, keeping her in a warm place, etc., etc.

She is a riot, and a nice little consolation for me. Certainly something to be thankful for!

I have decided to name her Kaboodle. :)

Anyone else have any interesting unexpected things pop up on Thanksgiving perchance?

I love cats. I have a dog too, but I prefer cats. Or maybe I just don't like my dog. He whines incessantly and has a terrible allergy problem that causes him to gnaw all of his fur off, it's gross.

Anyways, congrats on a new kitty :D

Thats a lovely story about you dog merkitty...and the allergies

Are you sure thats a free cat? If it is, thats awsome. Free cats!

Kittens are so fun! I've got two and have yet to find names for them....
What? Isn't that a crime where you live? ;)

P.S. I live with my girlfriend. Our cat's name is "Kitty." She had another name, Pashi, but she never answered to it. She comes running to "Kitty." {sigh} :\

That's great!! I actually found my cat while working backstage at the Miss Texas Pageant 2 years ago. I was using the restroom and she crawled in through the window, looked me in the face and meowed once. After washing my hands I picked her up and she started purring. As it turns out, she had been "dropped off" at the theatre with her two brothers by someone the week before, and she was the only one left out of the three (I found this out from some of the other theatre employees). So I took her home, got her shots done, and named her Nibbles for her unhealthy interest in fingers and toes. And now she's sitting on the bookcase beside me watching my fingers move on the keyboard =)

Adjectives can work. Worked for the smurfs, anyway. OTOH, it can be embarassing when you go to the vet. Or ironic if they change when they get older (My 30 lb cat named "Baby" for instance)

Hey Darth ... I was considering Wampus as a name ... you know, kattywampus? But that seems a better one for a male to me somehow.

Yes indeed - a FREE kitty! She is such a sweety too. Someone moved away from the tiny little town I live near and left behind a bunch of cats and kittens. I think this one wandered 2 miles up the hill to me. She was covered with burrs, skeletal, wet through and very unhappy when I found her.

I now have six cats: Rizhik (Russian nickname for "redhead" ... sorta); Minnie (the Himalayan); Bangor (totally white except for orange around his nose and a few orange rings at the end of his tail); Wales (the handsomest one - also a terrible whiner); and Og (this cat is brownish grey and is a huge mass of muscle, and I mean HUGE - he is the only cat I know who loves to be roughhoused and patted hard like a dog). Finally there is Kaboodle!
