Knights of the Old Republic and Blue Screens of Death

I get these all the time while playing. I got an update for my sound and graphics which I thought would eliminate it (Microsoft help-thing told me that that was the problem), but I still get them. Just to let everyone know, I'm running XP Home with Service Pack 2 installed.

Well SP 2 is sort of a crap shot, it still being relative new, but when it Blue Screens it should tell you in the upper left hand corner an error code... something like:

IRQ_NOT_LESS_THAN_OR_EQUAL

What does it say? (Of course I've yet to BS a XP machine but its runs on NT framework which I know more off.

Make sure you patched the game. Also might help if you post your PC specs.

Something like that. It actually says DRIVER_NOT_LESS_THAN_OR_EQUAL. If there's any other codes/identifiers past that, I'll have to wait till it bluescreens again and write it down.

As for specs, Pentium 4 w/ 3.00 GHz, 512 Mb RAM, NVIDIA GEForce FX 5200... not sure if you need anything else, lemme know.

Does it BS in any other game/application? If not you might want to patch the game and/or contact Bioware’s helpdesk forums

Not a PC pro, but your system can handle a LOT more RAM. Why not try it? RAM is relatively cheap.
