Intrope

Well, I guess what I see is the ability to get the benefits of a power (or powers, if you also use permanancy) without actually having to pay the cost (that is, the slot selection). And it's a pretty nice power, given that their is no other way to swap out feats/skill points/powers. Moreover, you really don't need this power very often, even if you use it for the whole party's benefit--so, the primary cost is really the slot selection.Scion said:I dont understand intrope, where is the abuse? It does still cost a pretty hefty amount of exp after all, and the benefit is that you can do things that you could have done anyway the first time. Hard to see any real abuse there, especially with the cost.
And for the xp cost, I don't really think that it really balances it out by itself; 50xp isn't a lot for 7th+ level characters; for that matter, 50*level isn't a huge amount at any level for the ability to completely re-write your character.
On the other hand, I do agree that it isn't a huge abuse. Just something I thought was rather wrong. On the other hand, I guess it could be viewed as a mechanism for Psi's to have temporary access to alternate powers in order to facilitate things like item creation as James suggests. Maybe I'm wrong about it's abusiveness. Just thought I'd point out something that leapt to mind on my first read-through.
