Falen:
As Falen flies up into the Guard House, he surveys the room. “Need priests and heavies!!! Now!!!! Get this hole clear. The Exemplars need to all come up. They are fighting undead!! Do we have oil? We could set fire below!!”
"Four braziers," Captain Walther notes. "Two here and two in the other rooms. Burning coals, not oil."
"Two Elites are on their way to both The Palace and the Tribunal," one of the guards replies, as he and other guard get ready to drag the floating, petrified wizard to safety. "It will take them some time to get there. The Palace Guards are mainly soldiers, but there are a few evokers among their ranks."
"With your flying magic, you might get there before them," the captain suggests to Falen. "I suggest the Tribunal. You'll have less explaining to do there. And, since the attack on The Tribunal, the Wizard Council keeps at least one powerful Sectarian on guard duty."
"The pegasus, Spritewing, headed off to the Park of Angels to find The Willow Lady. She's a powerful healer." The other guard helping with the petrified wizard adds.
Aust Thale said:
He mentally quizzes the crystal, “Think, Little One! I need clarity on how to seal the labyrinth once we get our people back!”
"The words, the words on the doors are only really meant to allow you to enter, and then exit once the doors seal from the other side. Aphogorin created them to protect the world from unstable time spilling out, but he never meant for them to be sealed permanently. The doors were his creation, not The Ancients. The words can't seal the doors from this side, or, the words were never meant to be used in that way."
Falen sees the words in his mind...
“Into Aphogorin's twisted corridors I want to brave,
To seek more than an early grave.”
The psicrystal muses mentally.
"You could try to recite the unsealing phrase from the outside instead of the inside, but I cannot say for certain what that would do. Aphogorin was, still is, a tricky being. Perhaps... if you said the opening phrase in reverse, the psionic resonance of the door might be blocked, for a while. Wait, what is hap-..."
"Urk!" Falen feels a pang of discomfort as his mind is shown what
might happen to them, if they try to permanently seal the Labyrinth.
(For Aust Thale Only)
Falen sees in his mind's eye a strange, large metal rod that is split into two interconnected cylinders. The device is struck against the Labyrinth's doors and there is a resounding echo of a sharp musical tone. The psionic phrase on the door shudders and seems to blink out of existence. Then, Falen's mind is filled with an image of powerful, howling mental storm. His mind is filled with this mental tornado of immense power and fury. He watches, as if seeing from far above, as the windstorm pulls him, the Exemplars, the guards, and even the people closest to the guardhouse into its maw and down into the Labyrinth below.
Then, there is the sound of hideous manic laughter.
Falen feels Ting mentally shudder.
"Very risky. A misspoken syllable could trap us all inside., He, it, the Mad Soul would love it."
"A-arcane magic is your best option. The Mad Soul was a cleric and telpath in life. He only has his psionics now. When he... changed, he lost his connection to the divine. A simple Arcane Lock will keep the doors shut, temporarily. The spell Seal Portal would be harder for the Loyalists to dispel." Ting's thoughts
seep deep into Falen's mind and then spill out into the minds of the other Exemplars and surrounding guards near Falen.
"The only one ('one, one') who can permanently seal ('seal, seal') the labyrinth is Aphogorin ('me, me, me')."
("The Mad Soul, Soul, Soul..." Ting's voice (but not its voice) echoes from somewhere, distant, in all your minds. "He won't, won't, won't...")
"I have this... feeling... that the Renegade tried and failed to block access from the Material Plane. Aphogorin would not allow it," Ting continues without any sense of the echo in its voice. Then...
"NO! No, No, No! Never! Noooooo!"
{Laughter...
Screaming...
Pain.}
"Ah, That Hurts!" Ting shudders again, this time in considerable pain.
"S-still to close to the Labyrinth to be out of the Mad Soul's influence!"

Ting suffers 2d6 points of damage. Falen can make a DC 20 Will saving throw to shield the psicrystal from the damage. If successful, Falen takes half of rolled damage instead, and it is only nonlethal. If he fails, Ting takes the damage. If you roll a 1, Falen also takes the damage.
Request: 2d6 Roll: [1, 1] = 2
Reason: Damage to Ting
(Luck of Tyche.. heh)
(For Aust Thale Only) During this powerful psionic connection (to both Ting and the Mad Soul), Falen sees Aphogorin in his mind's eye. The Mad Soul (known as "The Oracular Man" during his lifetime) exists as a disembodied presence within the Labyrinth yet can project its powerful mind beyond the Labyrinth, as long as the double doors are open. Falen knows that the Mad Soul was once a powerful human cleric of a deity named Zogath, as well as extremely powerful telepath. Now, the Mad Soul is a spirit, but not undead. Falen eerily senses that the Mad Soul is watching him from somewhere (that feels very far away) deep within the Labyrinth of Lost Souls.
