Both Rich Gorth and Julia Tey immediately react with stricken faces. Rich responds. "Richard please don't speak so rashly. I think it would be well for you to remember how you woke up today."

manon smiles and simply states "well i suppose its a good thing you werent the one asking for help now is it. i will however gladly remain to assist mr gorth and mrs tey." bowing graciously manon turns on his heels and faces away from richard going to stand near one of the others.

To all the arguments spat at each other between his new companions and Richard,
Jallebo holds his arms up saying in an appeasing tone: "All, all, enough of this bickering..
We're here to help..

Mr Tey, your, shall I say, 'accident' may induce your current dispositions towards us,
which I suppose one could easily excuse. I think you need to go back to your bed and rest
for a while. If Mr Gorth and Mrs Tey could help Mr Tey back home, that would be great.."

Once the farmers have left them, Jallembo says to his fellow companions: "Let's gather a plan..
I think Mr and Mrs Tey are either very xenophobic by nature, or they have something to
hide.. It might be useful to snook and spy on them for a while. Eardropping or maybe check
their belongings for some clues... What do you think??"

"yes i agree, i dont think it will be necessary to resort to spying on the farmers just yet. though we might want to keep an eye on richard. " manon adds slyly, slightly irriated at the farmers ungrateful attitude towards them. he briefly entertains the idea of returning richard to the state he was found in the first place. "i for one say that we quit playing around in the dirt though and actively try to discover the culprit of the initial assault, and unless these stones somehow had something to do with it, i say we move on. what say you all?" the rogue gazes at each party member in turn.
then turning away speaks to himself "i wonder if we should go to this cave, somethign still doesnt feel quite right"

ooc - manon will just wait for a response, i believe it should be about time to make for the cave unless something interesting turns up here.

"He, he, sure.. though I do not see my idea as dishonest.. I tried the direct route initially,
but you've heard his response.. Unfortunately I couldn't tell whether he was lying to me or not..

But I'm happy to hold on the spying bit. But at some stage we should ask the other villagers
what they think of Mr and Mrs Tey.. They both seem fairly hostile to our presence whereas the
others are welcoming us.. Something's fishy..

And if we cannot understand the use of the stones, we need to get the information from the
farmers.. I think that going to the cave should be done later, once we know more.. Anyway,
just my thoughts.."

OOC: You have no need to worry. The farmers did indeed leave. Richard looked as though he wanted to add something further the conversation, but thought better of it. Ximix thinks Garrit's intrepetation of the stones sounds about right, but he is going to have to take his word for it.

As the conversation regarding spying and such dies down, Ximix looks up from his study of the stones. "Lets take these with us, just in case. Jallebo I would contend that we should enter the caves very soon, as the light of this day will be failing in a few short hours and other than Garrit we would be at a tactical disadvantage in the darkness. If we check the entrance for tracks and get an idea of what we're up against it would be a start." Looking around the group, the priest continues along quickly.
"On review I would agree that we need a plan, and we need to be ready. I have used several of my blessings from the Arcane already - yet if we wait overnight whatever agency works against us may slip away or even strike again. Whoever is behind this is able to create undead at the least... " The Elf gives Garrit a glance, then continues "perhaps the slain cow was just practice. We need to make a decision and move forward, what are your ideas?" Looking quickly around the group, Ximix shifts his gaze to the stones once more, an uneasy stare on his features.
