L1: Strange Doings (Erekose13 Judging)

Garrit Kelspire, Paladin 2 of Hyrag

Garrit will thank them for the food that is so kindly offered. After dinner he will also go to the loft to inspect it, looking for windows and such where people can enter without coming through the door.

turning to see garrit also inspecting the loft, manon nods to garrit, speaking to everyone in the loft manon says "ill be keeping a lookout from here to see if anybody is lurking about." he says "who wants to take first watch for the evening?"

Jallembo thanks Rich for his hospitality. During the dinner, he tries to befriend him a bit further
and attempts to learn more about Mr & Mrs Tey. "Ah.. nothing like a proper soup made of fresh
vegetables! Thick and tasty! In town they are served so watery!... Err, tell me Rich, what's
happening to Richard and his wife, hu? Like, Ximix litterally saves him, and all we get is that
xenophobic stance.. He clearly doesn't want us here or what? Has he always been like that
with strangers?"

OOC: Jallembo will also try to learn when the Tey arrived to the hamlet, what their occupation
is, whether they are liked in the village, what fields they own/farm if any (relative to the
position of the cave and the holes).. :)

Jallembo learns that Richard inherited his farm from his family who had owned it for many generations. Rich Gorth bought his farm from Richard Tey's father. Richard had a bad experience with Mike and his companion, and from that time has been suspicious of treasure seekers.

The barn with the group has the main doors, and 2 side doors. From the hay it is possible to observe the Gorth and Nam homes, as well as several fields. The Gorth farm is the closest to both the cave, and the location where Richard Tey was found.

OOC: Please post a watch schedule if you are going to take watch. Where are the stones? Who has them?

Manon glances at the combined group and not seeing an answer forthcoming announces and answer to his own question "Well i guess i might as well finish out a few hours of the watch myself. sir garrit would you mind taking a turn at it after a while?" the rogue takes up a sitting position at the window and peers out at the farm, enjoying the sunset. playfully tossing his dagger over and over in his hand.

ooc - manon will take first watch, i dont know who exactly has the stones, i believe its ximix.
i suggest that the watch goes like this , garrit, ximix, jallembo, razin. whoever is left ive forgotten :-P i believe sorgram is out.

once my watch is over i will go to sleep and wait until morning, manon sleeps with his dagger ready at all times. :-P

OOG: My humble apologies for the silence, much planning for Friday night's D&D finale (which went fantastic - but I only killed two PC's *sigh*... but that's the last of their res magice Muwhahahahaha! ) Oh, ahem, anyways! Back to this semblence of alternate reality!

OOC: Ximix is quiet and observant throughout the evening, though he does sample the vegetable stew and thanks his hosts for their hospitality. Ximix is fine with being on last or first watch, however he will require at least two shifts of sleep - so no mid watch. As is his custom he will awaken early if on early watch or set himself aside if on last, to begin the day in prayers and meditation. I would suggest that if he is on last watch that someone be available as a backup from false Dawn until full sunrise, whatever time that would be.

Whoever has the stones, Ximix will ask to share quarters with them, hopefully it is Garrit as he would like to discuss further the implications of the symbols. If Garrit does not have the stones then Ximix will request that the Paladin keep them before the group splits up.

Ximix will allow the smoother talkers to try to get information from the farmers, he will keep a careful record mentally, trying to see if one of the farmers is somehow false in their statemetns or in any way accuses then others . . . He is still unhappy about the situation with Richard, yet is unsure what to do about it.

Let me know what else he needs to be involved in, and I'll try to stay caught up!

Jallembo is happy to hand over the stones should he be requested and he agrees to the watch
arrangements.

Learning very little on the Tays is frustrating, his prime suspects. So he decides to have a stroll
around in the village to get some fresh air and understand the village disposition better: how
the houses are located, whether the village is defended or not, whether some house stands out
from the others revealing a wealthier family or a particular purpose.

He'll end his stroll by walking by the house of the Tays. He'll check it out and will snoop on the
residents from the windows, trying to hear possible conversations.

Back to his companions he'll suggest the following: "During our watch, I'd suggest one of us keeps
an eye on the house of the Tay to check for any suspect movement in or out.."

Turning to jallembo at the statement manon smiles and nods "I for one agree with you there, the fact that Richard obviously doesnt want us here, strikes me as odd. cosidering everything thats happed thus far." turning back out the window he says "you all should get some rest, its getting late in the evening" and he continues to peer out over the area. "i cant wait to get this watch over with." he says to himself.

ooc - i ve made several random spot checks to check the area. for manon on invisible castle
and several listen checks....i wasnt sure hw you wanted to handle watches in a pbp game.
so if there is a better way please enlighten me. i guess i should only roll when necessary.
