L1: Strange Doings (Erekose13 Judging)

Garrit Kelspire, Paladin of Hyrag

Jallembo listens to his comrades. The elf is right though Jallembo wouldn't mind to see Garrit finish that thing one for all. But that wouldn't solve the mistery surrounding the village.
"err.. well, I think Ximix is right.. we can always come back to destroy these things.. let's try to find out who or what is behind all this.." he says staring at the staircase.

"I suppose," he replies gruffily.

 

[Erekose13]

Ximix and Manon spike the doors which have not managed to open yet. Apparently they are quite stuck and it is a wonder the priest managed to get the first one open.

Remaining avenues of research: the other cells that are not banging and the door at the top of the stairs.

 

[Amaury]

Jallembo walks up the staircases and listens at the door. He then starts checking for obvious traps.

 

[Erekose13]

Jallembo does not hear anything from beyond the stone door as he listens. Checking for traps, he finds a simple mechanism built into the lock that would trigger a small needle should he attempt to pick it before dealing with the trap. Using his skills, Jallembo is able to disarm the trap without setting it off. Its not the most elegant job, however, and the lock fails to come open on his first try. Mr. Cat moves back away from Jallembo's feet as he deals with the door, moving amongst the party.

 

[Ximix]

Ximix waits patiently for the door to be opened. His sword and shield at the ready, a prayer at his lips.

OOC: Sorry I have not been posting much . . . not much to post? How wide is the stairway up to the door, one or two people wide?

 

[Amaury]

pff.. this place is deadly!! why would they protect it like that?? thinks Jallembo as he discovers that other trap.

He thinks again staring at Mr Cat: this place is lethal! have you been here before, or heard about it?

 

[Erekose13]

Mr. Cat fails to reply as Jallembo sets to the task of opening the lock once more. This time he applies patience to the task and is rewarded by the click of tumblers falling into place. Thankfully the needle had been disarmed prior to his attempts. As the last of the tumblers falls into place the door opens slightly making it easy to open at this point.

Jallembo checks through the opening before opening the door. He lets his comopanions going through.

 

[Animus]
