Lack of ideas for d20 Modern games? Read this one!

A player of my group, who has returned to the states, told us (on our mailing list) of a d20 Modern adventure he ran for his players. It's so brilliant that I wanted to let you know it:

An update from my D20 Modern campaign, Renegade Angels.

I love absurd humor.

Part of the backstory in the campaign is that George Lucas' brain is cryogenically preserved at Skywalker Ranch and is hooked up to the Y.O.D.A AI, who keeps one re-editing the 9 Star Wars movies over and over while putting out new merchandise.

In the previous session, my PCs' boss, a rogue benevolent AI, had taken some damage and needed a vital chip... and the closest one was in the Y.O.D.A mainframe. So, they bluff their way into Skywalker Ranch and steal the chip, but then toss an EMP grenade right at the foot of Uncle George's cryotube, killing him. At that, an army of Star Wars geeks rush them, and our heroes fight them. One even pulls out a replica lightsabre and lasts a whole three rounds before they can put him down. Finally, they flee, after having injured numerous SW fanboys and wrecked countless thousands of credits in paraphenalia.

Yes, folks, when I crank the absurdity level, it goes to eleven.

My mom wrote a sci-fi story once, about a megacorporation that took over the solar system.

The corporation was Disney.

(It must be in the genes.)

I once ran an Alternity Star*Drive game where Bill Gates, 400 years previously, had arranged for transfer of his personality into a mainframe, and after being freed from a secret installation, proceeded to hop around the galaxy while the PCs chased him, and narrowly stopped him from taking over Voidcorp via a backdoor built into their software. (Even after 400 years, they were still using a heavily-modified version of windows. )
