Lame Names

We had a character in one game named Darmok. He had horses named Tenagra, with a number after it, and they kept dying - so Tenagra 12 would die, and he would buy Tenagra 13, and so on.

In a D20 Modern one-off, I played Dr. Leonard McCoy - but played up the fact that the coincidence of his name annoyed him. :D

And we frequently have characters named anachronistic and racially incorrect things like Bob the Dwarf or Frank the Ranger, but that just kinda happens sometimes when people lack a particular inspiration for their character, I guess.

when a druid names his wolf lassie, its hard to take that seriously.

I guess I am no better though. I named a catfolk tiger Hobbes.

If wing commander can do it, I sure hell can!!!

We once played a Gurps game where one of our players drafted C. Annon Fodder. But to be fair none of our characters lived long.

Lame names?

The barbarians of my DM's homebrew world come from the Barbaronies, and his fey live in a forest realm known as the Fey Rie.

His nomads are called Nomandi; his goatherding peasants are known as the Gruffmen.

My wife is guilty of inflicting a half orc barbarian named Martha Stewart on the group at one point.

Martha was mean with that greataxe of hers, though. Not a half bad cook, either.
