One needs to be cautious about reading too much into a DDM card, but immunities were supposed to be less common in 4E.

Elsewhere in that article I read the bit about 'morale' and why they decided to remove it, and I consider their reasoning paltry. It seems to show a crass misunderstanding of actual warfare and throws away dozens of years of experience about making wargames (including skirmish style wargames) work.

Bah.

Eh... I found the morale rules to be the hardest thing to explain and the least fun part of the old rules.

I emphasize when he says that when teacher others to play, you come along as the "know it all" that tells half the rules so you always win. Glad they are working to eliminate that part. I've had people stop playing because they found that I was being inconsistent with the rules. It's very touchy.

I also am glad to see morale go.

From this and the rules:

"Shift" has replaced 5 foot step. And it takes a move action.

I don't expect to see shifting taking a move action in the actual 4E rules. I think that's a simplification for the minis game because attack and move actions are the only action types in the minis rules.
