Larlochs equipment

Stone Angel

First Post
In Lords of Darkness the lich Larloch is listed with quite a few ioun stones that are not listed in any other official source. Does anyone know the market value of these stones mainly the +5 competence stone to att, skills, and saves and the +5 luck to skills, saves and the +5 luck bonus to armor class. I have the +6 bonus to Ability scores done but I am needing some help on the other ones.

I'll move this over to Rules. In the mean time, it would be helpful if you list the specific items you're curious about; not everyone has Lords of Darkness. :)

It's all in the SRD, or in the item creation portion of the DMG if you have that handy.

For instance, save bonus (not resistance, ie luck) is bonus-squared times 2000. Since it's slotless, on an ioun stone, the price doubles. So a +5 luck bonus to saves ioun stone is 100,000 gp.

Thanks DanMcS I swore I looked into that part of the DMG but.....I must of missed it I don't know how I've read that part a thousand times. Man this is the second thread I've had moved in three weeks I better get my act together.

I can't find it at the moment, but I know somebody at Wotc, maybe Sean Reynolds, provided costs for all those custom ioun stones. You might find it on his site.

Let me know if anyone finds the actuall listing on those ioun stones that way I can check my calculations. Thanks all. And PKitty I swear I'll do better...anything but the whip please.....*sobs*

I didn't do these calculations but I had copied them down from a posting back in April 2002. Hopefully this helps you out.

I tried to search for this thread but turned up nothing. Thankfully I copy stuff into Word when I find stuff useful for later. :D

i am 90% sure it was Andy Collins that put out the list of what they all cost. it has to be listed at the WotC website some place. If not try posting a question at Andy's web site... he normally gets back to people really fast and can let you know what that was from.
