Laser rifels!

BiggusGeekus

That's Latin for "cool"

Problems

1) It looks really stupid. I've seen paint guns that are more meanacing.

2) It only has a "blind" setting? Lame. What about "mega-zorch"? If I'm shooting a laser rifle I want my target turned to dust except for his shoes.

3) No grenade launcher attachments. I could live with a normal grendade, but a laser rifle really should use plasma grenades.

4) It's not really a "rifle" unless the barrel is all carved up on the inside, right? This is a laser carbine. Who shoots a laser carbine? Not Han Solo, that's for damn sure.

5) Did I mention how stupid it looks?

Oh well, this is just the beta version after all. Hopefully they'll work out these bugs.

Well, apparently if you had a mega-zorch setting, then it wouldn't get banned. Blinding people is bad. Zorching them is okay.

The design can be explained by the fact that they call it a PHASR. Looks like bad Star Trek design to me. ;)

And, personally, I want my laser rifle to have the "Flambe" and "Mertilize" settings.

In Calgary in 98 I was attacked by and temporarily blinded by someone weilding a high powered penlight. **** that disoriented me.

Since then over the years I have thrown together a few makeshift penlight weapon designs in my head. I don't see what is so original about this "PHASR".
