Latin aficionados, I have a question.

Thank you for the replies. I think that perhaps I will try the Romanian angle (just as Necronomicon has been done, so to has Latin). Perhaps:

Carte de le Mort

It's all good food for thought. Thanks again.

I do not know Latin, but I tried to piece together a name for a "book of the dead" in my world and I came up with this:

Ex Libris Des Mortuis

Does that come close to what I am shooting for?

My take is "Ex Libris Mortuorum".

If you're looking for other languages, in Hebrew it is "Sefer Hametim".
For a slight variant, "Megilot Haalmavet" is "the scrolls of undeath". There is also "Sefer Hachaim Vehamavet", the book of the living and death (i.e. life and death).

"Liber Mortorum" or "Liber Feralis" sounds best to me.

"Book of Death"
I don't have the font to type it in the proper script, sorry.
That's a strange accent you've got there... Orthodox?

Note fiddlerjones' version is literally "book death" (with a strange accent), mine ("Sefer Hametim") is "the book of the dead". Take your pick.
