Lay on hands: At will, once per day?!?

A bit OT but I have a question regarding Lay on Hands. As the target is "one creature" for Lay on Hands but the target is "you or one ally" for Healing Word (Cleric), I assumed you could not use Lay on Hands on yourself only on someone else. I thought this had a nice Paladin flavor - self-sacrificing hero. However I have been reading reviews and people mentioned the paladin healing himself. So do we have an official ruling on this? Am I wrong? Thanks and sorry for derailing this thread.
Though it's not official, I interpret "one creature" to mean any creature, including himself, an ally, or an enemy.

That is, actually the defenition of "creature" in the game. Basically any creature. Whereas "You or an ally" cannot be an enemy.

Oh and to Gargazon: We have to assume that something like that (so it can be used dominated or something) is the designer's logic behind the choice. I still think it's weird.

Well, they defined some stuff here:

Powers Excerpt

Target

If a power directly affects one or more creatures or objects, it has a “Target” or “Targets” entry.

When a power’s target entry specifies that it affects you and one or more of your allies, then you can take advantage of the power’s effect along with your teammates. Otherwise, “ally” or “allies” does not include you, and both terms assume willing targets. “Enemy” or “enemies” means a creature or creatures that aren’t your allies (whether those creatures are hostile toward you or not). “Creature” or “creatures” means allies and enemies both, as well as you.

Take it as you will.
