The cube moves to 5N5E, trying to engulf Horse-head. HH steps aside (rolled 22 Ref save) and moves to 15N5E.

Round 247: HH steps back to 20N5E and hacks for 19. The cube has 34 hp left.
The cube steps to 10N5E and attacks with a pseudopod. Miss!

Round 248: HH steps back to 25N5E and hits for 19. The cube has 15 hp left.
The cube steps forward and hits for 9. HH has 13 hp left and is paralyzed!

Round 249: The cube moves to 25N5E, engulfing HH. He takes 1 acid.

Round 250: HH takes 3 acid and has 5 hp left.

Round 251: HH takes 6 acid!

Round 252: HH is defeated!

Next up for LE: a hell hound. (MM) It goes first in round 252.

Hermie the Hell Hound is not smart, but he's smart enough to know that after watching how the cube operates, he doesn't want to be close enough to get sucked-in. He lopes into 65N 35E and readies to breath on the gooey gargantuan if it gets within 10'

Hermie takes a 5 foot step to 60N30E and breathes. The cube fails to dodge and takes 4 points of damage. It has 11 hp left.

The cube moves to 55N25E. Hermie dodges and moves back to 65N35E. He can breathe again in round 260.

Smarter than the average bear, Hermie moves in, fighting defensively, and takes a chomp . (Hoping chomp + fire will take this out before Hermie becomes lunch; fight defensively the entire time, if somehow rd. 260 arrives he'll breath again).

A scorpion the size of a horse charges to 60N40E and barely misses with a claw!

Hermie flaps the goop from his jowls, gives an angry yelp, then decides that this new foe would make for great goop gumbo. He chomps him, then backs off to 80N 30E in hopes of avoiding that nasty looking stinger.
