OOC: I thought being reduced to half-speed was the general case? For instance, flying straight up for good maneuverability isn't difficult terrain, is it?

Resembling a tiger, this creature walks on six thick but otherwise feline legs. A luxurious pelt with alternating stripes of blue-black and tawny gold covers its low, wide form. Its head and body look decidedly catlike. Pheelyne enters at the south end of the arena, and charges to 45n 5e and tries what can only be described as a powerful pounce, in an attempt to knock this silly lizard down.
Round 763
The dragon bites Pheelyne as she approaches (rolled 37) for 15-3=12 points of damage. Amazingly, Pheelyne hits with four claws (best missing roll 23+2=25, worst hitting roll 24+2=26, one crit), once in the neck. Three of the claws do no damage, and one claw inflicts 18-15=3 points of damage. The dragon is not knocked down (32 vs. 34 Strength check), and has 232 HP remaining.
The dragon breathes a wave of force, which Pheelyne does not avoid at all (19 Ref save), taking 55 points of damage. Pheelyne is dead. The dragon backs up to 55N10E.
First in round 764 for Lawful Evil is a kyton (chain devil) (Monster Manual).

OOC: Sweet mother!! DR 15? Once in awhile the 6 CR difference is felt. You know, more than just when my guys get pasted....
Clanking into the arena like Cher on a bender (but with less cheek showing) comes a 6' humanoid covered with chains. Coincidentally named Cher, her face seems to resemble the dragon's dear departed mother, albeit with a look of horror as though listening to Sonny Bono songs on repeat.
Cher 5' steps to 45n 0e and sends two razor-edges chains in the dragon's direction.
