LE vs. N: Lawful Evil Victorious!

OOC: Being exhausted reduces speed to half, but that is not the same as being hampered by difficult terrain or darkness (page 144). It seems that a 5-foot step is OK.

For future reference, the ROTG article on movement states that there are no free 5-foot steps when movement is hampered, when movement is reduced to half speed, or when the current speed is five feet or less.

Well, yeah, if you go by the Rules of the Game, then I was wrong.

A humanoid with sand-blasted flesh swathed in a halo of blowing grit and dust enters north of Sonny. Its scimitars are red with its constantly oozing blood - which everyone agrees, is just icky. He moves to 85n 20e and waits. [ready action to attack if Sonny comes into range].

Round 765

C. Bono agrees that it is just icky. That and the humanoid coming too far into the arena to push out makes his decision easy. He backs up to 45N10E and breathes a wave of force. The humanoid does not dodge at all (rolled 15 Ref save), taking 38 points of force damage. It has 22 HP remaining.

Now there is even more blood on the blades. Dusty Hell begins humming "Got me Under Pressure" and charges to 60n 20e in a desperate attempt to at least damage the short, mustache'd lizard.

Round 766

C. Bono bites Dusty with AoO (rolled 43) for 14-5=9 points of damage.
Dusty retaliates by clanging his scimitar against C. Bono's hide (rolled 18+2=20). Dusty regenerates up to 16 HP.

C. Bono hits with bite, claws, wings, and tail for 28 total damage. Dusty is defeated, although C. Bono did take 4 points of damage from the swirling dust surrounding Dusty.

C. Bono is at 45N10E, with 228 HP remaining.

First in round 767 for Lawful Evil is a greater kruthik (Miniatures Handbook and E-mail).

OOC: Monte, we'd be willing to trade in Rake and Acid Resistance for immunity to dragons...

A six-limbed lizard bigger than a tiger stalks into the arena.
Its body is covered with thick plates of chitin
Anyone betting on him lasting more than 5 rounds is also quickly covered.

It finishes moving at 80n25e and extends 6 middle digits at the dragon. [ready action to try to grapple the big lizard if it comes into range.]

Sorry, the trading floor is closed.

Round 767

C. Bono moves to 50N20E and breathes a wave of force, which the cat does not dodge (rolled 17 Ref save), taking 44 points of force damage. The cat has 32 HP.

Round 768: C. Bono bites the cat on its approach (AoO rolled 37) for 12 points of damage. The cat claws once (rolled 29+2=31) for no slashing damage, but 3 points of acid damage. C. Bono has 225 HP remaining, and is at 50N20E.

C. Bono hits with claw, bite, and tail for 32 points of damage. The cat is dead.

C. Bono is in the Hall of Fame! :)

First in round 769 for Lawful Evil is an average salamander (Monster Manual).
